Nat Geo Kids app
UX | 2017
Designing for kids who can't read yet changes everything. In Nat Geo Kids (a video and games app for children aged 4 to 8), color did the work: contrast, shapes and visual hierarchy had to function without a single word.
Legal restrictions for children's content added another layer. The result had to make sense for a kid and for the adult sitting beside them.
What I took from this project was a true sense of responsibility: building a product that, given its legal implications, could have no cracks.
